The Internal Operations team handles a wide range of responsibilities, each crucial to our collective success:
Recruitment & onboarding
Having a great recruitment and onboarding process is critical to attract talented people and get them going fast. This means crafting compelling job descriptions, managing the hiring pipeline, coordinating interviews, and deciding on new hires. It also means facilitating a smooth onboarding and relocation process. This ensures that new SkillLabers feel welcomed and aligned with our values from day one. In our hiring, we place special emphasis to recruit new SkillLabers that connect with our core values.
Information security data privacy
Protecting personal and confidential data is paramount at SkillLab.The Information Security Data Privacy role ensures compliance with all privacy regulations. This involves developing and implementing robust data security policies, conducting regular risk assessments, and ensuring strict adherence to data privacy laws, including GDPR. The role also trains SkillLabers on best practices, embodying our purpose-driven approach to proactively safeguarding information. This demonstrates SkillLab's commitment to responsible technology use, ensuring that the personal data of our end users remains safe and secure.
HR Business Partner
The HR Business Partner supports employee growth, well-being, and fostering a positive work environment. This includes running our performance management and feedback cycles, providing a clear system for career development, addressing inquiries from SkillLabers, and organizing essential team lead trainings. They also manage compensation, ensuring fair and transparent practices across the organization. This role highlights our collaborative approach by partnering directly with teams and individuals to achieve their goals, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and grow.
Events & office
Enhancing the employee experience through a great office environment and engaging events is the core focus of this role. This involves coordinating company events and retreats to strengthen relationships. This role showcases an important relation to our 'learning mindset' value. People learn about each other and about SkillLab at these events, and we also promote knowledge sharing through lunch learning exchanges, where employees can present insights from their expertise or experiences.
People Operations
People Operations ensures a supportive administrative experience for all SkillLabers, handling the essential logistical aspects of their employment journey. This includes HR administration, managing payroll, assisting with visa applications, overseeing contracts, and administering holidays and leave. This role directly supports SkillLab's commitment to fostering a collaborative and friendly environment. By ensuring smooth operations, People Operations enables every SkillLaber to thrive and contribute effectively to our purpose-driven mission.
Finance
The Finance role is dedicated to managing the financial health of the organization. This involves overseeing budgeting, managing expense flows, providing comprehensive financial reporting, and conducting financial planning and analysis. This role enables SkillLab to continue its purpose-driven work , by ensuring that the necessary resources are always available to achieve our mission of connecting people with jobs and education.
